SUMMARY:Marriage & Family Builders: Biblical and Proactive Parenting
DESCRIPTION:End the crazy cycle in parenting!\n\n\nA 3-Week Love and Respect Parenting Class\n On Anger\, Apathy\, and Appeasement\nthat Can Harm the Parent-Child Relationship \nMay 15th-June 5th (with a break for Memorial Weekend)\n\n\n\n \n \nThere are 3 chronic behaviors that can wreak havoc on the parent-child relationship. These are chronic anger\, appeasement\, and apathy. As parents\, we often find ourselves:\n \n \n \n\nReacting in chronic anger on an ongoing basis when our child is disrespectful or dishonoring\n\nAppeasing our child and resorting to giving the child what he or she wants in order to keep the peace or “buy” his or her respect and compliance\n\nDisengaging and becoming apathetic because we’ve hit a point where the back-and-forth has become too much and we’re out of ideas\n\n\n \nIn this 3-week course\, we’re going to learn how to decode whether a child is intentionally or unintentionally being disrespectful\, how to address it in a productive way\, and how to work through these 3 behaviors you may be resorting to as a parent. \n \n \n \nWeek 1: May 15th – Unpacking the Crazy Cycle in Parenting\n \n \nWeek 2: May 22nd – Chronic Threats\, Treats\, and Truancy\n \n \nWeek 3: June 5th – Loving the Spirit of Your Child When His or Her Attitude and Actions are Disrespectful \n \n \n \nThis class is great for families\, single parents\, and blended families. It meets virtually via Zoom on Sundays from 8p.m.-9:15p.m. on the dates listed above.\n \n \n We’d love to see you there! Register today!

SUMMARY:Sunday Services
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Sunday!\n\n\nClick HERE to register for Resurrection Sunday – April 17\, 2022\nResurrection festivities (click event name to register): \n\n Good Friday Night of Worship – April 15th\nEaster Egg Hunt & Community Scavenger Hunt – April 16th\nResurrection Sunday – April 17th\nAfter Easter Party – April 24th\n\nFamily\, we’d love for you to join us for Sunday Service. As you’re likely aware\, the CDC and the local DC government updated its latest guidance for vaccinated individuals. Join us in person for service and worship at our 9 am and 11 am services. Please read the information below to know more about the details and restrictions for the two services. \n\n\nHere are a few things to keep in mind: \n***UPDATE: If you have been FULLY vaccinated\, you can be exempt from the quarantine requirements per DC Government regulations (if you travelled out of state). We kindly ask that you bring your vaccination card as proof. Thanks for your patience and understanding. \n1. Our services will be broadcasted by live stream for BOTH 9am and 11am services and a recording will be posted on our website on Sunday afternoons. \n2. For those going in-person\, BOTH our 9am and 11am services will be LIVE!!! However\, our 9am service will remain to have “half and half” seating and masks are still required. This means half of the room will accommodate those who prefer to sit with PHYSICAL DISTANCING and half of the room will accommodate those who prefer to sit with NO PHYSICAL DISTANCING. For the 11am service\, there will be NO PHYSICAL DISTANCING IN THE WHOLE SANCTUARY and masks are required. We are doing our best\, with the resources and capacity that we have\, to provide an environment that is safe and comfortable for everyone who’s attending our services. \n3. A temperature check and a brief screening will still be done before entering the building. \n4. Attendees will be guided to the appropriate exits immediately after the service has ended\, unless there is an event or meeting afterwards. \n5. Restrooms will be available for use with usual precautions taken. \n6. We STILL strongly suggest that anyone who is immunocompromised (UNLESS FULLY VACCINATED) refrain from attending service. \n7. If you are NOT FULLY VACCINATED\, we STILL strongly recommend practicing the 3 W’s (wear your mask\, watch your distance\, wash your hands) while indoors and during fellowship outdoors. \n9. Our shuttle from the Rhode Island Metro station is currently not in service. \n\n\nFAQs \nWhy do I have to register? So that we can stay within our preferred capacity\, also to provide contact tracing when necessary. \nWill there still be church online? There will be services provided by live stream and a recording posted after the 2nd service. \nWhat are the safety precautions? \n– Masks are required for all attendees\, gloves are available \n– Temperature checks and screening will be conducted by the Health Team\, questions include: \n 1. Have you experienced any symptoms in the past 14 days? \n 2. Have you been around anyone with symptoms in the past 14 days? \n 3. Have you traveled in the past 14 days? Where? (concern for hot spots) \nWhat is the process for contact tracing? Eventbrite will be the primary document used for contact tracing \nWill we continue to do live stream? A virtual option will be available.

SUMMARY:Making Disciples Class & Practicum
DESCRIPTION:Let’s make disciples who make disciples!\n\n\nAfter walking with the 12 disciples for 3 years one of the last things Jesus said to them was\, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations\, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit\, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always\, to the very end of the age.” Mattew 28:18-19 \nJesus commissioned the disciples after demontrating to them and teaching them\, and that’s exactly what our aim is in this class. Making Disciples is a 4 week class consisting of teaching\, tools and practical application to make disciples through evangelism. \n \nPlease be sure to purchase the following text for class: \n Making Disciples by Steve Murrell \n \nWe invite you to get equipped to make disciples who make disciples!
